Even after her setback of being in business for more than 20 years, she decided to close her business but relaunch the new fashion line M2057 Maria Pinto with the help of Kickstarter, has been able to re-market, and re-establish herself as an even stronger designer of women's fashion.
She has forged a major comeback and has fashioned the likes of First lady Michelle Obama, remember the infamous purple dress that FLOTUS wore? YES... Maria Pinto designed it!
Designer of the dress The First Lady Wore
She has also dressed the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Marcia Gay Harden, and Brooke Shields. Her kickstarter campaign is the relaunching of her brand entirely. The new brand M2057 by Maria Pinto, will debut her signature style of femininity, sophistication, and modern appeal.
Maria Pinto plans to work with factories in the Chicago area, as well as other cities throughout the United States, talk about building a fashion community! This is also very exciting for Chicago, because it can be a resurgence of the fashion community, we love. Fashion in Chicago, doesn't have the established markets like New York, and Los Angeles does, but that can change with time, effort, with more designers like Maria Pinto forging a comeback here!
The first collection is already scheduled to arrive in Chicago at VMR which is the Vintage, Modern, Resale showroom. Mark Gill and Tina Kourasis of VMR will be the first store to house this ready-to-wear brand of dresses, jackets, and wraps which will retail for under $400. VMR will also exclusively style clients during the collection's premier.
